Rebels to Host Ed Snider Youth Foundation Night

The Rebels will be hosting the Ed Snider Youth Foundation for a special promotional night on Saturday, December 12 against the Johnstown Tomahawks. Any person who brings new or used hockey equipment can purchase a ticket for $6. All equipment will be donated to Snider Hockey.

“Mr. Snider is hockey in the Philadelphia area. He brought the sport here” stated John Giacobbo, Vice President of Hockey Operations for Aston Rebels. We are thankful to have this opportunity to work with his foundation and give back to the community by giving the less fortunate an opportunity to learn the greatest game in the world,” concluded Giacobbo.

Regardless of the new or used hockey equipment donated, a person can purchase a ticket for only $6 – regularly $9. Items can be brought in between rinks 3 and 4 at the IceWorks Skating Complex.

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation was created by Philadelphia Flyers Chairman Ed Snider in 2005 as his personal commitment to teach children important life lessons. Using the sport of hockey, the mission of Snider Hockey is to build lives and unite communities, helping educate young people to succeed in the game of life. Snider Hockey programs are provided at no cost and are focused on underserved boys and girls who otherwise would not have the opportunity to play, with an emphasis on character development, life skills, fitness, nutrition, and academics.
